My Favorite Blogs

  • The Plagiarist
Michele's little brother's blog. Ok, so Michele doesn't really have a brother.....but he's the closest thing in her only child life to a brother, so read it.
  • What Would Cookie Do
"Just a guy living in boston, trying to stay out of trouble while helping society's kids do the same. by day, at least." So says the blog....I say, read it because it's intelligent, even though Cookie is NO Aubrey.

Thursday Should be 'tini Night

Instead Ms. B and I are sitting watching things upload on her computer at work while sipping tequila.  This new office sure beats the last one in that regard.  I would still like to go out for tinis, perhaps I can convince her.  She has been known to be more susceptible to bad ideas after some tequila... who hasn't?
Michele better bring me some rum soon or I will freak out!  Expect radio silence this weekend as I am rusticating.  Write you on the flip-side!

Why I Love Being the Bear

This weekend Brooke was hellbent on enjoying grilled meat, the weather and anything else that may have some sort of  Memorial Day/Beginning of Summer Meaning.  Between Friday and Monday, she ate pulled pork, train wreck fires, ribs, steak, burgers, hot dogs, spicy sausages, shrimp and chicken.  Also , she had potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad, kick ass pasta salad with pepperoni and potato chips.   Then, there was the health food she ate in private but... whatever!  I'll never tell you what dirty music she listened to but it's dirty stuff.  I just love that she poured rum down my throat and LIVED the beginning of summer.  Memorial Day! (lift shirt here)

Sunday That is Basically Saturday

Brooke got a slow start today which was cool by me.  We hung out on the couch next to the passed out roomate and moved slowly.  It was nice, we watched Sandra Bullock deal with her alcoholism on TV.  Thank God I don't have a problem, I would never be able to deal with that rehab bullshit!  Still, she was amusing.  The rest of the day, I mostly spent in the bag.  Brooke went to church and gay bbq with me so I mostly hid.  We still had fun and Brooke ate meat, I drank.  I missed the girls tonight but I look forward to the next time we get together.  Go summer, the heat smells like rum to me! Go Rum!

Puppies, Softball, Steak and Beer

Today we got up a little late after our day of drinking yesterday.  Michele is safe in Aruba and summer has hit this town!  We just relaxed this morning until Brooke had to go meet a puppy who would clearly rip my head off.  She marvelled at how cute the monster was and off we went to Williamsburg softball.  We met a friend's boyfriend until her slow southern ass could get there.  Ms. B. ate steak and drank in the park like a good memorial day weekend girl should do and we chilled.  After that, it was to the bar.  More beer and veggie chili dogs later and we were home.  Good times!  Simple times but so good!  Summer is the bomb!  Rum, rum, sun, and beer!

I've Been a Bad Bloggy Bear

It's been brought to my attention that I haven't blogged in a while.  I am very sorry.  See, the girls have been remiss in bringing me home on Thursday nights these days!  And their computers at the office really really really slow.  I turn it on and by the time it starts up, Bouncer and I are generally up to some office mischief and I get distracted from my blogging duties.  Let me tell you, nothing distracts a bear faster than a monkey, a candle, some paper clips and a microwave.  I'm just saying!

So here's what you've missed......this new office is so much more my speed.  They drink on Fridays in the office.  They go out to drinks together.  They need more rum, but the bottle of tequila has amused me on more than a few occasions.  Brooke and Michele are so much happier in their new job, but also stressed because they have a lot of responsibility.  I do what I can to give them the therapy, support, rum and beary kisses they need.

I have new friends in the office.  There is Bouncer, the monkey I told you about earlier.  He's adopted my lifestyle, which is DAMN amusing when he tries bouncing.  Then there is Barkie, who is super cool, but occasionally too loud after Bouncer and I have had an evening.  And I mustn't forget Candy Lamb.  I don't trust her, but at least she'll ride Little Princess for epic battles vs me and Destructicorn.  All in all, I can't complain.

Ms. Michele is leaving for a week, so I'll have more time on her computer during work hours and will hopefully be able to blog more often.  Until then......Happy Memorial Day!  Celebrate by drinking Rum!

Friday Evening is for Wine

I am a bear who loves the weekends.  I like the weekdays too these days.  It's odd but good.  I still love Friday end of day wine time.  I wish it was rum but you win some, you lose some.  It is nice to embrace mindlessness.  It seems that everyone I know is not interested in thinking too much right now.  This is a good thing as I see it.  What has thinking too much ever done for any of us?  Not much.  Let us all have a weekend in which we just relax.  Also, let's drink rum.

Wine with Friends

I went out tonight thinking I was going to get to see a friend who I haven't seen in a little while and I got to see another friend I haven't seen in an even longer time.  He was really a pleasant surprise!  We talked about the country and I got to dress as the Virgin Mary.  I want to be the Virgin Mary in the country. It sounds so perfect and "country".  I can snuggle up with rum and lie in the sun.  I think I need a break from the city.
